The Polycom VVX 450 is an advanced 12-line IP Phone designed to cater to the communication needs of both knowledge workers and managers who engage in extensive voice communications. Equipped with a 4.3-inch backlit color LCD display, the VVX 450 ensures clear visibility. Its features include a full duplex speakerphone, Gigabit connectivity, HD Voice for superior audio quality, and two USB ports that facilitate media integration. With support for up to 12 lines, this phone is a cost-effective and robust solution suitable for enhancing productivity in diverse settings, ranging from small and large office environments to hospitality setups.
The phone's display boasts a resolution of 480x272 pixels, providing a sharp visual experience. It supports up to 12 SIP accounts, and its fixed feature buttons include Speakerphone, Headset, Mute, Hold, Transfer, and Volume Control. Navigation is seamless with the four-way navigation keys and Select Key. The 12 programmable line/feature keys, each equipped with Dual-Color LED’s, offer flexibility for customizing lines or call features like speed dialing. Additionally, the four interactive soft keys guide users through various call features and functions.
The VVX 450 supports up to two VVX EM50 Expansion Modules for added functionality. It includes a high-quality 2-way speakerphone and supports G.722 Wideband Audio for HD Voice. The phone is wall-mountable, and its dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces support PC Pass Through and Network Connection. With two USB ports, users can connect accessories such as USB flash drives for call recording, USB headsets, or the VVX EM50 Expansion Module. It also accommodates RJ9 headset ports and features a Message Waiting Indicator.
For network configuration, the VVX 450 allows static or DHCP IP address assignment, and its provisioning options include FTP/FTPS/TFTP/HTTP/HTTPS server-based central provisioning for mass deployments. The phone is globally compatible, using Icon keys and supporting multiple languages.
In terms of power requirements, the VVX 450 supports 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and can alternatively be powered via an optional power adapter if PoE is not available on the network (power supply sold separately). It is compatible with various open-source PBX systems or hosted cloud solutions like Vonage Business, Ring Central, Nextiva, 8x8, and others, as well as platforms such as 3CX, Asterisk, Broadsoft, and Genesys. The package includes the VVX 450 Phone, desk stand, handset with a 12-ft cord, and a CAT5E network cable.
