Product Description

The Cisco 8851 VoIP/SIP Phone offers a compelling solution for enhancing personal productivity with a user-friendly interface that seamlessly combines power and simplicity. Designed with an attractive ergonomic layout, this IP phone ensures crystal clear voice communications through wideband audio. Its reliability is underscored by "always-on" performance, and voice communications are further secured through encryption. The device provides access to a comprehensive suite of unified communications features from Cisco, available on both on-premises and hosted infrastructure platforms, as well as third-party hosted call control systems.

Key features of the Cisco 8851 include an ergonomic design that delivers a traditional telephony-like experience, a 5-inch VGA backlit color display for easy navigation and access to features, and a wideband-capable audio handset with HAC compatibility. The phone also features a full-duplex speakerphone for hands-free flexibility, an analogue headset jack, and an auxiliary port supporting electronic hookswitch control with third-party headsets. The built-in 2-port Cisco Ethernet switch allows direct connections to Ethernet networks, offering LAN connectivity for both the phone and a co-located PC.

With an array of keys for various functions, including line, soft, navigation, and volume-control keys, the Cisco 8851 ensures a versatile and user-friendly experience. Backlit indicators enhance visibility, and the phone's replaceable bezel and dual-position foot stand provide customization options. It is wall-mountable and supports physical security through compatibility with the Kensington Security Slot.

Power features include IEEE Power over Ethernet (PoE) compatibility, supporting both IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at switch blades. Alternatively, non-PoE deployments can utilize the optional Cisco IP Phone Power Cube 4, an AC-to-DC power supply. The use of Power Cube 4 requires corresponding AC country cords. Overall, the Cisco 8851 VoIP/SIP Phone offers a feature-rich, reliable, and customizable communication solution for various environments.
