The Avaya IP500 Digital Station 30 Expansion Module is a valuable addition to the Avaya IP Office system, offering 30 extra digital station (DS) ports to accommodate an expanded network of devices. Compatible with Avaya 1400, 2400, 5400, and 9500 series phones, as well as the Avaya 3810 Wireless Phone, this module allows for seamless integration with a wide range of devices. The flexibility to mount the module on a wall or in a rack using optional kits makes it adaptable to various installation needs.
With its 24V DC power supply, the IP500 Digital Station 30 ensures reliable and efficient performance. Its primary function is to provide 30 additional digital station ports, enabling the connection of 30 more digital telephones or other DS devices, thereby enhancing the communication capabilities of the IP Office system.
The module also allows for telephones to be located up to 1km away from the control unit, granting flexibility in setting up devices throughout a workspace. However, for extensions situated "out-of-the-building," additional line protection will be necessary, and specific cabling guidelines should be followed as outlined in the IP Office Installation Manual.
For systems utilizing Direct Station Select (DSS) Units, the IP Office supports a maximum number of units, such as eight EU24 and/or EU24BL units per system, two XM24 units on each Digital Station expansion module (including the discontinued IP406 V2 control unit) with a maximum of 10 XM24 units per system, two 4450 units on each Digital Station expansion module (including the discontinued IP406 V2 control unit) with a maximum of 10 4450 units per system, and T3 DSS units.
