The Algo 8188 IP Ceiling Speaker is a SIP speaker that is used in a drop ceiling for voice paging, emergency notifications, and music playback. The speaker is a fully functional third-party SIP endpoint. As a result, this IP ceiling speaker works with the majority of hosted / cloud and premise-based VoIP phone systems.
Key Features of Algo 8188 IP Ceiling Speaker
The Algo 8188 IP Ceiling Speaker is equipped with twin SIP extensions for voice paging and notification. Any premise or hosted Communication Server that supports third-party SIP endpoints can register one or both extensions.
Wideband G.722 codec compatibility ensures optimal speech clarity and intelligibility in an HD Voice context. Voice paging and notice announcements are easier to understand, especially in busy surroundings.
The 8188 multicast feature is scalable and cost effective, allowing a SIP registered speaker to simultaneously stream audio to multiple speakers while actively voice paging or playing a WAV file from memory. There is no need for extra SIP licenses or a paging server.
The inbuilt microphone supports talkback and detects surrounding noise to automatically boost speaker volume as needed. An auxiliary input enables a wall button to start a SIP call or make an announcement.
The PoE blind-mount speaker installs easily into the ceiling and broadcasts its static or DHCP IP address for access to the user-friendly web interface. The 8188 speaker also enables auto-provisioning for minimal touch settings.
